How to Live Naga & Aghori Sadhus in Minus Temperature at Kedarnath Dham.
Kedarnath is holiest pilgrimages in north India, Kedarnath is situated in Rudraprayag( Uttarakhand). It is located at an altitude of 3,584 m near the head of Holy river Mandakini. A popular destination for Hindu pilgrims, Kedarnath is one of the four major sites in India’s Chota Char Dham pilgrimage that also includes Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.and also one kedar in panch kedar mandir, Mesmerised environment and breathtaking snow-clad peaks. Kedarnath is Known for the ancient Shiva Temple, a yatra to Kedarnath is an exhilarating experience. Like the other sites, Kedarnath closes on the first day of the Hindu month of Kartik (October-November) and reopens in Vaishakh (April-May) every year.
The Ghati is submerged in snow for about half a year when the Lord is shifted to Ukhimath. According to a legend, the temple came into existence as a result of the Pandavas’ search for Lord Shiva to atone for their sins for killing their brethren during the Kurukshetra war. Lord Shiva avoided all attempts to meet the brothers and stopped at Kedarnath and took the form of a bull and started to force himself into the ground, leaving only his hump visible. The willpower and determination of the Pandavas impressed Lord Shiva and he forgave their sins, blessed them and allowed them to worship him at Kedarnath. It is said that the stone-like structure that is worshiped here is the hump of the bull
The arms appeared at the Tungnath Temple, the face at Rudranath Temple, the belly at Madmaheshwar Temple and his locks (hair) with head at Kalpeshwar Temple. Kedarnath and the four above mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar.
In 2020 by Blessing of bhole nath we could participate Doli Yatra Kedarnath to Ukhimath in Heavy snow fall, i dont have words to explain my exprience of yatra,
we start our yatra from Delhi after Diwali poojan at home( 9 p.m) and take route to Delhi -Ghaziabad-meerut-muzaffarnagar-haridwar-rishikesh-devprayag-rudraprayag-guptkashi and reached sonprayag and parked our car in parking we were late and time was around 11 a.m than got registration at sonprayag registration office take local taxi for 5 k.m to reach gauri kund, take bath in hot spring kund , holy darshan of mata gauri mandir , we start treking to Baba Kedarnath Dham time was around 1.pm and we have to walk 16 k.m via gaurikund -ghoda khal-chirbasa-bheem bahi-choti limcholi-badi limcholi-base camp-google kund(gauri kund) -Shree Kedarnath Mandir.
we reached kedarnath dham around 7 p.m. and feel blessed.
there was very cold weather temp was minus 14 , (freezing condition) take Arti Darshan try to find room for stay but unfortunately no rooms available we could stay in mandir parisar for sometime and mere baba bahut dayalu hai, after sometime we got room. There was no facilities like food, tea , and rooms so feel difficult but i dont want sleep because this night was special for me. i was wondering whole night in baba kedarnath mandir parisar take holy darshan at 2 a.m in mid night whole night was snow falling every thing were in white snow.
in 5. a.m Morning Arti Darshan and 6: a.m main kapaat closed for six months 8:30 a.m Doli came out from Baba Kedarnath Mandir and east door closed.
Snow was Still falling every where Doli move to Base camp -Choti limcholi-bheem bahi -gaurikund by 4.pm -sonprayag-Ram pur (temple) -Guptkashi( Vishwanath Mandir)- Ukhimath (Omkareshwar Mandir) .
