American Rust, based on the novel by Philipp Meyer was canceled after one season by Showtime. After being saved by Amazon, season two is on Prime Video with a new subtitle, "broken justice," that gives a more ominous feel to this show about a small town with secrets.

American Rust: Broken Justice stars Jeff Daniels as Chief Del Harris, Maura Tierney as Grace Poe, David Alvarez as Isaac English, Julia Mayorga as Lee English, Alex Neustaedter as Billy Poe, Mark Pellegrino as Virgil Poe and Rob Yang as Deputy Steve Park.

I talked to creator and executive producer Dan Futterman and executive producer Adam Rapp about why they called this season "Broken Justice," being saved by cancellation by Amazon, and dealing with divisive issues in the town.
