Khandadhar waterfall is the second highest waterfall in Odisha. In the deep forest of Sundargarh district, this waterfall is located. It is one of the best picnic spot. The height of this waterfall is 244 m.
So, hey Everyone! My name is Ashirbad Panigrahi. I along with my friend 'W' got an opportunity to go to this beautiful destination. We started our journey from Balangir by train up to Rourkela, from Rourkela, we took a bus up to Boneigarh also known as Bonei which is about 60km from Rourkela town. Then from Boneigarh, we took an auto up to Khandadhar which is about 20km from Bonei. Due to winters, this place was filled with lot of picnickers. We steadfastly moved to the waterfall. A stairs of about 600, led us to the waterfall. We were deeply amazed at the beauty of this huge waterfall. We admired its beauty for about one hour and returned to the base. We roamed around the location. A large area is allotted for picnickers, a children's park is also there. Khandadhar Cottage is also located here. A restaurant named as Khandadhar Cafe is also located here. We enjoyed a lot. This is a well maintained place. Actually, the tourism industry in Odisha has a great potential. If it be directed in the right path, then it will boost the economy of our people.
