TRUMP MEETS WITH GOVERNORS: President Trump is holding a roundtable with governors on the reopening of America’s small businesses. A CNN analysis of data compiled by Johns Hopkins University showed that 10 states are seeing their highest 7-day average of new COVID-19 cases per day since the outbreak started, including Oklahoma where Trump is scheduled to hold a campaign rally on Saturday. The Trump campaign said attendees will be given hand sanitizer and masks, though won’t be required to wear them. President Trump has repeatedly blamed a surge in cases on increased testing, despite experts arguing that surges are largely attributable to hasty reopenings. ‘People keep talking about a second wave,’ Dr. Anthony Fauci told the Wall Street Journal. ‘We're still in a first wave.’ A New York Times analysis found 20 states that have ‘recent growth’ in new cases over the last 14 days.
