This easy golf tip will help you start hitting crisp pure iron shots on the course. Johnny Miller explains the Hogan move at impact. Johnny also emphasizes the importance of having that left elbow in tight to the body on the downswing.
Johnny Miller won 25 times on the PGA tour and won the US Open and the British Open. He is a golf hall of famer but almost as important is he was an announcer the saw 1000's of great golf swings. Johnny knows a few things about the golf swing, so when he talks about the golf swing you should listen.
In detail this golf lesson from Miller emphasizes the key fundamentals of the downswing. To begin the arms just drop from gravity. Jack Nicklaus calls this the gravity move. When the hands get to about hip height having just dropped from the top then the hands and forearms need to close the face. This is where the Hogan move comes that Johnny illustrates so effectively.
In the end I illustrate how to practice this move. This is something I practice all the time and has been key to my golf improvement and handicap lowering.
