This is the best method to use if you do not want to touch the crickets (or use (disgusting) roaches) because all you have to do is shake them off the egg crate/shake them out of the tubes into the mason jar filled with calcium powder then put them in the fridge for 30 minutes (to slow the crickets down) before feeding them to your beautiful beardie.
Yes, this may take some more time than other methods, but I found this is the best way for me personally.
I am strongly against cricket keepers, so this is the other way I found that works MUCH BETTER than they could ever do (and with a much smaller risk of having them escape).
Make sure you use a reptile tank with a metal topper so the crickets do not escape!!
Crickets do smell and are noisy, so an alternative is using dubia roaches instead.
I feed my adult bearded dragon (Jellybean) 3 to 4 times a week the live crickets. Younger bearded dragons will need to eat more.
Thanks for watching! :) (Also this is my first bearded dragon, so I am still new at all of this and am happy to hear advice or suggestions from more experienced beardie owners.)
