Last weekend I travelled to Siena, in Tuscany, Italy to be "on tour" with my good friends at Garda Bike Hotel, who had laid on some spectacular cycling and events over the course of the Strade Bianche Classics race - cumulating in me taking part in the Gran Fondo which follow's the lady's and men's race on the Saturday.

It was my first time cycling in Tuscany, and wow!!! Simply wow!! Beautiful undulating countryside, with contrasting silky tarmac and plenty of iconic white gravel. It was an exceptional event, within an exceptional weekend with exceptional company.

You'll see extracts of the UCI pro men's race plus my own effort navigating the Gran Fondo, Strade Bianche, including the iconic white gravel sectors and the famous final climb into Siena. An experience I will cherish forever.
