Slaughterhouse Five is one of those books every twenty-something year old loves to say they have read. If they haven't read it yet, it's always on their reading list, and either way, it's a great title to name-drop when you want to sound like that cool, slightly more sophisticated and intelligent person at the party.

It lives up to the hype. Vonnegut is some minor diety to my generation, and appreciated just as much by any other. Read one of his books, and you'll see why. And if you're gonna read one - why not read the one that the author himself said was his best? (He graded all his works before his death and gave Slaughterhouse the only A+)

Take some time and read this one. It's got a touch of everything for everyone.
