of our magnificent locomotives in action. Spot the sights of locations from TV’s Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries as well as blockbuster Australian films such as The Dressmaker. Your genuine old style ticket will be clipped by your friendly conductor as you travel in our authentic steam era carriages, with polished interior woodwork and pressed metal ceilings. For a wonderful day out, drive or catch the V/Line train from Melbourne or Bendigo to connect with our train at Platform 3 from Castlemaine, travelling to Maldon, Australia’s first notable town where you’ll find cafes, pubs, antique shops and more.
