With the snow coming, I gave the wife a ride to work, even though the Lake Poygan Pigs were on my mind. Jason (who runs the Hawg Hauler) and I, set off on the hunt for Lake Winnebago System gold.
While we got a few topside, I was able to get this year's first walleye over 20" on the ice, classifying it as the first 2019 Poygan Pig in my world for the 2019 ice fishing season.
As luck would have it, we got a little video, even though one of my cameras messed up, and I even picked the wife up with a few minutes to spare... oh yeah!
Regarding my ice thickness reporting, due to the crazy temps we have had the last few days, please add roughly three inches to those. As always, check the ice for yourself as where I go and you go could be completely different. Safety is number one!!!
