Asia and Central Eastern Europe have long been associated geographically, historically and economically. The regions have not only shared long-standing and complex history, but also experiences of drastic changes of contemporary politics, society and ideology, while various unique cultures and individual experiences coexist in conflict. As a result, these interrelated backgrounds enabled much dialogue space between contemporary art and culture practitioners from both areas.
Curators, scholars and artists are invited to this webinar to share their practice and research in their fields, connecting the different situations of contemporary art and culture in Asia and Central Eastern Europe through their individual experiences and reflections. Through this platform, we hope to form diverse dialogue and bring fresh imaginations to today’s art and cultural sector which is facing great challenges.
