Several Congress leaders Join TRS in Karimanagar | Telangana Congress Seniors in Shock
Several leaders from the Congress party joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the presence of former Karimanagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar here on Saturday.
Leaders from 19, 20 and 21st divisions of Karimanagar Municipal Corporation including Edla Madhu, Akula Mohan, Aadi Mallesham, Akula Sudarshan, P Sudheer Rach, Katla Sattaiah and others joined the party.
Inviting congress leaders into its fold, Kamalakar thanked the caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekahar Rao for reposing faith on him and re-nominating him for the Karimnagar Assembly constituency.
“In the last 50 years, candidates from various political parties were elected as MLAs but they neglected the constituency time and again. It is the TRS government that took up a slew of measures for the welfare of people in the State and constituency,” he said.
Besides laying roads, number of projects such as Manair River Front development, IT tower and other projects were sanctioned by the government in the town, he said. “Providing employment to the unemployed youth in the town is my aim,” Kamalakar informed and urged the voters to elect him as their MLA in the coming elections.
