Sibiu este un oraș din Transilvania, în centrul geografic al României. Este cunoscut pentru arhitectura germanică din orașul vechi, o moștenire a coloniștilor sași din secolul al XII-lea. În jurul orașului se află rămășițele unor ziduri și turnuri medievale, inclusiv Turnul Ratt din secolul al XIII-lea. Palatul Brukenthal, situat în partea superioară a orașului, găzduiește acum Muzeul Brukenthal, cu picturi europene.

Hermannstadt ist eine Stadt in Siebenbürgen, in der geografischen Mitte Rumäniens. Sie ist für die germanische Architektur in ihrer Altstadt bekannt, ein Erbe der sächsischen Siedler aus dem 12. Jahrhundert. Um die Stadt herum befinden sich die Überreste von mittelalterlichen Mauern und Türmen, darunter der Ratturm aus dem 13. Jahrhundert. Der in der Oberstadt gelegene Brukenthal-Palais beherbergt heute das Brukenthal-Museum mit europäischen Gemälden.

Sibiu is a city in Transylvania, in the geographical center of Romania. It is known for the Germanic architecture in its old town, a legacy of the 12th century Saxon settlers. Surrounding the city are the remains of medieval walls and towers, including the 13th-century Ratt Tower. The Brukenthal Palace, located in the upper part of the town, now houses the Brukenthal Museum with European paintings.
