A young boy has lived his whole life on the streets. Never knowing where his next morsel of food is coming from. This act is the depiction of the angst and the desire for food that the boy has. The careless attitude of the people and the government has led him to live like an animal. He is forced to eat from garbage cans. His clothes aren't enough to protect him from the cold weather. He only dreams of food and clothes. He seems a prison for this harsh life and there is nothing he can do to get out of it. In the end, he is so famished that he dies.
