Gele, the Yoruba word for headwrap, is known for being the colourful; and flamboyant as it adorns the heads of Nigerian women across the world as they attend parties, weddings, church and everything in between. This short documentary shines a light and celebrates some of the women from the Nigerian diaspora in the UK who keep the gele alive, from african fabrics traders to women who use the gele to raise awareness for mental health issues.
