You've probably seen people in the gym staring at their phones. Maybe you do it too. But being on your phone can decrease the quality of your workout, and increase your risk of injury. People who run or walk while texting or talking on the phone are slower and have a lower average heart rate. People on their phones between sets during weightlifting have reduced strength during the exercises. And texting during exercise increases your risk of falling and getting injured.
