This 3D transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) demonstrates no movement of 1 prosthetic leaflet and restricted movement of another in a 77 year old man with a St Jude mechanical mitral valve prosthesis and worsening dyspnea (see [ Ссылка ] for a standard TEE view). The patient was diagnosed with severe heart failure from an obstructed mitral valve prosthesis and underwent urgent mitral valve replacement surgery. Intraoperative visualization of the mechanical prosthesis demonstrated pannus overlying the immobilized leaflet and acute and subacute organized thrombus adjacent to both leaflets.
