I needed to remove my center console on my 2001 Chevy TrailBlazer with the shifter on the floor. I couldn't find anything on YouTube so I decided to do this video. Everything was pretty straight forward with the exception of, for some reason, the carpet sticking to the bottom edge of the center console. I knew that the console had never been removed (1st owner) and I am a fairly clean person, not a lot of eating in the car, no coffee or sodas. I thought something else was holding the center console down, maybe a hidden clip or something. Before pulling up on it an breaking anything, I looked at a couple of online forums and even some face book groups. Someone did mention that they broke a couple of clips when theirs did not come out easy so they had to pull it out by force. I didn't have those clips. Others kept saying there were hidden screws underneath the cubby liner, etc. but I checked and doubled checked. Anyways, after much probing, I finally discovered it was just kinda stuck around the edge and using a lot of force my jabbing my fingers between the carpet and the center console, I finally got it removed.
