In this Year 3 maths lesson for uk students we will learn a quick trick to calculate 10 and 100 more or less than a given number.
To do this we will use knowledge of the place value table and recognise the value in each column. Once we recognise the value in each column we can simply add or subtract from that column to get 10 or 100 (depending on the question) more or less.
This is a very important skill to learn as this will help with mental methods of calculations.
