Because filmmakers and photographers are always looking for new and exciting ways to control light in their setups, we asked Photographer, Cinematographer, and Rosco Ambassador Richard William Preisner to help us introduce e-colour+ #276 Rosco Blackout.

As its name implies, E276 Blackout is a 3mil (76 micron) thick, opaque polyester film that is designed to block light. This new and exciting lighting modifier is available in 60”x20’ (152.4 cm x 7.62 m) rolls and features a matte finish.

Filmmakers and photographers can use Blackout in a number of different lighting techniques:
• Temporarily block out windowlight on location
• Make lightweight and waterproof flags to create negative fill
• Cut out custom cucoloris patterns to add shadows & textures into a scene
