Police are appealing for information after a truck was rammed into a shop in Edgeley.
Shortly before 8.40pm on Sunday 24 June 2018, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Castle Street in Edgeley.
A white flatbed truck had driven onto Castle Street, where it was involved in a collision with a red Skoda, before two men got out of the truck and used hammers and bats to damage cars parked nearby.
The duo then went on to cause damage to a shop on the street, while a third man reversed the truck into a different shop three times.
All the men got back into the vehicle before it fled down Moseley Street.
Police Constable Ben Taylor, of GMP’s Stockport borough, said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation, but based on the intelligence we have gathered so far this looks to be a targeted attack following an earlier confrontation with a group of men on Castle Street.
“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident, or the earlier confrontation, to please get in touch with police to help us identify those involved.
“We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who was in the area at the time who might have mobile phone or dashcam footage of the incident and the events leading up to it.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 2061 of 24 June 2018, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
