English Tutorial for the Rautenferse (Diamond Heel). This heel is an super easy, beginner friendly heel, that also works very well with self striping yarn.
This heel is adjustable for any size, is completly worked in the round and fits very well for swollen feet and a high instep.
If you have a tiny foot, or less circumfence, you can always adjust the pattern and knit less increases.
For kids socks I would recommend maybe only 5 increases.
My socks are a size 8 US (size 6 UK, Size 39 EU)
Any bigger sizes I would also recommend the heel size shown in this tutorial.
For toe up socks you can use this chart for when to start the heel, and work with the numbers given for the Boomerang heel:

If you have a different stitch count, you can always devide your heel stitches (:2) and then - 1 is the point for your increases. For example:
Total stitches 48
Heel stitches 24
Point for increases is after 11 stitches
(24:2-1=11)
Wool: Lana Grossa Landlust Sockwool
Needles: 3 mm
