What a lovely walk from Llanfairfechan to Abergwyngregin. There the coastal path disappears and it becomes just a walk on the rather scrambled sea defences. Unstable debris that was treacherous. Up until then perhaps the best part of the path from Chester, and that's saying something. The soundtrack of sea birds was constant and enjoyable. At times difficult to stay on the path, and quite by chance were diverted into the Madryn Morfa Nature Reserve, and were able to see Highland cattle from one of the bird hydes. An extended, but intended, diversion of the coastal path around Penrhyn castle and Llandygai was interesting, the walk along Lon Las under the Railway viaduct down to Porth Penrhyn was lovely.... but not Coastal... Finally to Bangor. Those involved in the pier at Colwyn Bay, should take a trip to Bangor. They have successfully developed the pier. Overall a lovely walk on a fine autumn day, with enough sunlight to enhance the wonderful colours of the leaves on the trees. See if you can spot the loo with a view.
