Welcome to the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Florida State University, home of the ChemiNoles. Since its founding in 1949, FSU's graduate program in Chemistry and Biochemistry has ascended to prominence both nationally and internationally, and its esteemed faculty includes decorated scientists with diverse research portfolios and rich interdisciplinary experience. In addition to undergraduate degrees offerings in chemistry, biochemistry, and chemical science, the department offers Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in analytical, biochemistry, inorganic, organic, nuclear, materials, and physical. The department also participates in interdisciplinary programs in materials science and molecular biophysics and maintains strong connections with the National Science Foundation-funded, FSU-headquartered National High Magnetic Field Laboratory.
