So one of the stars of Vikings: Valhalla is Caroline Henderson. She is a black woman who gives an excellent performance as Jarl Estrid Haakon, or Jarl Haakon Eriksdottir, or whatever you want to call her, and people are losing their minds.
We all know there were people of African origin in Europe at the time, we all know women in Norse society could wield great power and hold great respect, and we all know that this series is just leather and mud fantasy, so here are three little reasons why getting your knickers in a twist over colour conscious casting and diverse casts in TV is silly.
