The directorate of criminal investigations has summoned former interior cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i to appear before the serious crime’s unit at the dci Friday. The former CS is expected to be questioned by the detectives over his alleged claim that police officers raided his Karen home a fortnight ago. The DCI believe that the former interior CS is connected to false information over the alleged raid. Matiangi who is expected Friday at the dci headquarters through his lawyers claimed his home was surrounded by police officers whose motive was unknown. The high court today extended orders preventing the police from arresting, charging, harassing or otherwise interfering with the former cs until the 19th of April this year. The court also issued orders stopping the director of criminal investigations from commencing any criminal investigations against, recommending prosecution, arresting and questioning Matiang’i lawyer Dunstan Omari, in respect to the alleged raid at the former CS's home.
