Timers, Time delay relays, or timing relays are electromechanical switches that can turn on or off devices after a set time elapses. They can be actuated by applying power or a signal to the coil to begin timing. This video covers interval timers, on/off delays, on delays, off delays, cycle timing, and one shot timers.
Time‑delay relays play an important role in industrial control logic circuits. Common applications include flashing light control, engine auto-start control, motor soft‑start delay control, and conveyor belt sequence delay.
