Today, Job Fair was organised by the Directorate of Employment J&K through District Employment and Counselling Centre Samba (Model Career Centre Samba) wherein more than 300 candidates participated and appeared in job interview. As many as 9 private sector companies offering 225 jobs shortlisted 180 candidates for various jobs.
Joint Director Employment, Ashwani Kumar inaugurated the job fair. Speaking on the occasion he encouraged jobseekers to register with Employment department through portal [ Ссылка ] avail the benefits like job fair, self employment schemes, career counselling and skill training. The Employment Department portal is integrated with National Career Service (NCS) Portal which offers more than 9 lakh active vacancies.
Joint Director also felicitated the candidates who were placed in Cadilla, JAMKASH and Agile Herbal during the job fairs which were organised earlier this year. The candidates also shared their experience of appearing in the job fair and lauded the efforts of department in organising such job fairs.
Interacting with the participants, the Joint Director advised the participating youth to improve their communication skills and adopt a more focused approach to achieve their career goals. He also directed the department to provide proper handholding to the unemployed youth through counselling and awareness program at block level.
Sulakshna Thakur Assistant Director Employment also presented the brief overview of the activities of department and encouraged the youth to register under different self employment schemes.
The Companies like Zeiss Pharma, ITC, JAMKASH, SBI Life , NJ Foods, Dhan Vriddhi, Hindustan Foods, Agile Herbals etc offered jobs of Engineers, production manager, trainee officer, operator, sales executive, apprentice, relationship manager etc.
The youth were also provided information about the government sponsored self employment schemes like Tejaswini, Mumkin, Spurring Initiative entrepreneurship and motivated to become self employed and job creators.
