Here are a few seams I always press open:
•All cross seams - meaning if I alternated the seams on a block's row, the seam that connects the two rows is pressed open.
•Any and all triangle shapes - it makes it easier for me to get an accurate block
•Any bulky seams that won't benefit from pressing to one side or the other—in the #dandyquilt I'm making in the video, there are A LOT of seams, and they wouldn't nest no matter what I did. When I can't get them to nest, I always resort to pressing the seams open.
