Here at the Hummingbird Cottage, I have put out a new block invitation and observed the play that unfolded. I share my thoughts out loud as I narrate what surprised me, what questions I have, how I think I can take the play deeper, I take notice where I see repetition, and I also take notice to new play unfolding that I could provoke next time.
My mission is to help educators, families, admin, and home care providers see play in action and my real time thoughts and actions for following a child's lead.
I hope this brings clarity and inspires immediate and practical action you can also take.
