Sheikh Muhammad Shahat Anwar,famous Quran reciter and father of Sheikh Mahmood Shahat Anwar . He entered this world in July of 1950 in Kafr Al Wazir village, Egypt. His journey into the realm of Qur’an recitation was shaped by luminaries like Sheikh Abdul-Basit Abdul-Samad, Sheikh Muhamamd Siddiq al-Minshawi, and Sheikh Mustafa Ismaeel, who nurtured his talent. Remarkably, he completed the Hifdh at a tender age of 8.Sheikh Ahmed Al Farraji, a respected figure, enriched his skills by imparting the subtleties of Tajweed, paving the way for his professional debut as a Quran reciter in Al Wajh Al Bahri village. Prior to his demise, Sheikh Muhammad Shahat Anwar dedicated his expertise in Quranic recitation to the congregation of Imam Rafiîi Masjid and also toured many countries to recite or to judge Quran comeptetion.Sheikh Muhammad Shahat Anwar (1950-2008) was raised in an environment where Quranic recitation was deeply influenced by the styles of Sheikh Az-Zinani and Mahmoud Hamdi al-Zamil.
