Most of the world recognises Dubai for its skyscrapers towers, man-made islands, luxury resorts, and rolling desert dunes. But the UAE metropolis has even more than meets the eye. Like every other major city on the planet, Dubai must employ law enforcement to keep the locals and visitors safe, but unlike other nations (and it typical Dubai fashion), Dubai takes it up a notch, sporting police cars that can only be described as spectacular.

The Dubai police has been using its superfleet as a marketing opportunity since 2013 when it first introduced the Lamborghini Aventador. Since then, the fleet has welcomed Ferraris, Bugattis, Aston Martins, McLaren’s, and more, stealing the global automotive spotlight.

And now, it's official: Dubai has the world's fastest police car — and it rockets down the desert roads at up to 253 miles per hour.

As you can see, the middle-eastern Oasis isn’t dubbed the city of gold for no reason. Besides literally being able to withdraw gold from ATMs, Dubai’s incredible array of luxury police supercars hammer that moniker home.

Clearly, it’s not just the royals and residents who cruise around in multi-million-dollar vehicles — for more than a decade, the Dubai police force has been collecting and showing off some of the fastest, most expensive, and most eye-catching cars on the planet.
