Fr. Pontifex's real name is Fr. Claude Burns, a priest of the Diocese of Evansville, Indiana. He attended Mundelein Seminary in Chicago and was ordained to the priesthood in May of 2002. He currently serves as Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish in Evansville. He also is currently writing a book and does public speaking as his schedule allows. The word Pontifex means "bridge builder", a name that Fr. Burns took as an icon for all priests and their role of building bridges between people and also to Christ. [ Ссылка ]
