The construction of the concrete bridge over Koh Norea will show the Khmer national identity through modern architectural constructions that new Khmer generation created themselves, combining the art and culture of the Angkorian ancestral heritage.
The second cable-stayed bridge connecting the Norea City Development Zone to the Koh Pich satellite city is 824 meters long and 24.5 meters wide, with three main sections for vehicles and one sidewalk for pedestrians.
Two 60-meter-high trees with unique Khmer carvings make the bridge up to 8 meters above the water, a maximum rainy season for navigable crossings, which is planned to cost $ 38 million and take approximately 35 months.
On September 20, 2022, OCIC launched a temporary road connecting National Road 1 to the Norea City and Diamond Island project to make it easier for travelers to save time and money, reduce congestion and so on.
The bridge connecting Norea City to Koh Pich is scheduled to be completed in October 2023 as construction completes.
