Sony Pictures has officially confirmed Peter Parker's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a set release date for Spider-Man 4. This project has been one of the most anticipated in the MCU timeline, as Tom Holland has been absent from the franchise since Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021. However, after years of development, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are closer than ever to bringing Holland’s sequel from concept to reality.
Today, Sony Pictures announced that the currently untitled Spider-Man 4 will swing into theaters on July 24, 2026, making it an official part of MCU Phase 6. Production is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2025, with Holland confirmed in the cast. The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and Zendaya is also reportedly involved in the project.
