Siem Reap Angkor International Airport Expects 1.5 Million Passengers by Year-End
Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI) projects to handle 1.5 million passengers by the end of 2024, up from 900,000 since its opening. Wei Lu, Chairman of Angkor International Airport Investment (Cambodia), highlighted SAI’s expansion and improved facilities as key to accommodating the growing air travel demand to Siem Reap, home of Angkor Wat. Cambodia's aviation industry saw a 20% passenger increase in 2024, with air traffic expected to grow nearly 70% compared to 2019 levels.
