The MicroLine shape is becoming a rare breed. The tracing edge is less than 0.2 mils which will wear faster than a Shibata or other line-contact shapes. To lessen stylus and record wear, most manufacturers try to keep VTFs at 1.00 gram, but to be able have high tracking ability with low tracking forces require expensive stylus assembly and cantilever materials. With such low sales volume of phono cartridges, it is probably not worth the investment to build Microline models. In any event, the Jico SAS and Audio Technica VM740ML are two MicroLine models that are still available.
