Berlin, April 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took a tour of the Berlin Hauptbahnhof, the main railway station in Germany’s capital Berlin. Modi took an account of the facilities provided at the station and held talks with the officials present there. The PM had earlier said that he wants to change the face of Indian Railways; hence he is visiting the Berlin Hauptbahnhof. The station came into full operation two days after a ceremonial opening on 26 May 2006. It is operated by DB Station and Service, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG, and is classified as a Category 1 station, one of twenty in Germany and four in Berlin. Nearly 1,800 trains call at the station per day and the daily number of passengers is estimated to be at 350,000. Prime Minister will be leaving for Canada later in the evening on the last leg of his three-nation tour.
