Join my wife and me as we embark on a scenic 6-hour journey from Frankfurt to Amsterdam aboard the high-speed ICE train. Before our trip, we spent some relaxing time in the DB Lounge at Frankfurt, where we enjoyed the First Class experience—comfortable seating, great amenities, and a wonderful atmosphere. It was the perfect way to start our journey!
Next, we traveled in First Class on the ICE, enjoying spacious seats and a smooth ride through the heart of Europe. The journey was both relaxing and scenic, offering incredible views along the way from Frankfurt to Amsterdam. Due to current freight traffic expansion on the Lower Rhine, the ICE was rerouted via Mönchengladbach and Venlo, adding an interesting variation to the route.

We used our Interrail pass for this trip, with an additional seat reservation fee of:
🇪🇺 €16 / 🇺🇸 $17 / 🇬🇧 £13.
