Recipe
Ingredients
Half Chicken (about 400 gm)
60 gm of chestnut
About six mushrooms (soak till soft)
One tablespoon of dark soya sauce
One tablespoon of oyster sauce
few drops of sesame oil
One tablespoon of minced garlic
Two teaspoon of sugar
Enough water to cover chicken dish
Cornflour solution (one teaspoon of cornflour and two teaspoon of water)
Method
Soak mushroom with hot water till soft
Cut mushroom to halves (optional)
Marinate chicken with one tablespoon of dark sauce, one tablespoon of oyster sauce, few drops of sesame oil and two teaspoon of sugar (or to taste) for at least half a day
Add minced garlic to rice cooker, followed by marinated chicken, mushroom and chestnuts. Add enough water to cover the chicken dish
Set the rice cooker to cook or quick cook function.
Half way cooking, stir the chicken and taste the sauce, adjust to own taste buds. Add cornflour solution to thicken sauce.
Serve hot with rice.
