While scientists are working round the clock in designing a vaccine for the novel coronavirus, many states from India have been seeking approval from Indian Council of Medical Research to conduct plasma therapy on COVID-19 patients. In this treatment, blood plasma from a person who has recovered from COVID-19 is transfused into a critically ill patient to help them fight the disease. On today's Prime Time, Dr Debi Prasad from Auckland, New Zealand explains what plasma therapy is. Dr Prasad however adds that the therapy is not a sure-shot way of curing coronavirus but has in the past proven to reduce death rate of critically ill patients. (Audio In Hindi)
