This research shows that solar PVs could be integrated on a larger scale with the grid under fault conditions. With the installation of capacitor banks on selected buses while implementing correct protection scheme and coordination, the solar PVs should be able to remain in service at low voltage ride through (LVRT). The system voltage is recovered faster (stability) in grid connected mode due to huge backup from swing generations.
