This video shows you how to make a hardcore lead in vital by using different variations of saw waves. Vital has some pretty good effects and modulation possibilities for this sort of hardcore lead sound design. Just like serum we can use the noise sampler as a modulation source, in this case i used it as a FM modulator for couple of normal saw wave oscillators. You can also see me adding small amount of unique harmonics to these saw waves oscillators, these small variations in saw waves add character/harmonics to your overall sound. To add reverb and delay to your Hardcore lead, you can use vitals effects for that, i personally don't really like this approach when producing, but previewing presets it's usually good idea to add some space to your sound to see how it will sound with that. Couple of more tips:
1. it's always a good idea to make your lead as you are making your kick (so you can customize the lead to match the kick) it makes mixing much easier.
2. Spent good time with the lead, better sounding leads will magically make you do better melodies.
3. Don't go overboard with the noise FM.
4. Remember that this will work with Hardstyle, Rawstyle, Frenchcore and so on.
