After 20 years of being into RC I have never owned a Tamiya!

Today that is about to change!

I will be building one of the most popular Tamiya Kits of all time and one of their best selling models alongside the grasshopper.

I'm not a huge fan of building kits or doing RC bodies so things are a little rough around the edges but at least it adds to that personal touch.

Even though the Hornet was one of the best selling models is it iconic?

Well that's for you to decide!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my first ever Tamiya kit in action. I have to say the build process was very enjoyable and so was running it for the first time. It was nice to see how far RC models have come in recent times as the driving feel and performance is a night and day difference compared to today's latest models.

I have always wanted a Tamiya Lunchbox but I think next time I will buy it XB as I simply don't have the patience to sit for hours cutting and applying stickers!

Next will be a set of bearings all round as I feel they will add to the performance making everything that little bit smoother and maybe even a tuned motor.
