London's famous taxi cabs are being introduced to the streets of Perth for a trial period. Up to 50 of the vehicles will be licensed initially, all specifically adapted to cope with the heat of the Perth sunshine. Western Australia's transport minister Troy Buswell said: 'These cabs are synonymous with the taxi industry internationally'. There are now London-style taxis operating in 60 countries including Germany, Bahrain, Kosovo and Lebanon
