There have been some interesting movements through Retford this month.
00:00 First of all we see GBrF 66748 'West Burton 50' on the 6X80 03:14 Dollands Moor (Gbrf) to Merchant Park Sidings with a consist that includes Scotrail EMU's 385001 (3-car) and 385102 (4-car) on 22nd May 2019. These units were built in Japan without interior fittings and sent to Europe for testing. After running in Scotland they were sent to Pistoia (Italy) to be fitted out, and I believe this the the return working to Scotland for service.
00:34 Next is seen Colas Rail 67027 and 67023 which formed the 08:39 Heaton T&R.S.M.D. to Cambridge C.S.D. on 20th May.
02:43, An ex-Great Western HST on a Peterborough to Hull test run prior to introduction on Hull Trains services.
03:23 West Coast Railways 57313 leads the Northern Belle through the low level platforms at Retford on a Sheffield - Derby - Nottingham - Grantham - Lincoln - Sheffield - Derby - Nottingham trip. 57314 was on the back.
03:51 On the 4th of May, the 1E43 21:43 Aberdeen/Fort William to London sleeper is seen running behind Freightliner 90046. As Kings Cross cannot accommodate the full-length Highland sleeper service, the Inverness portion had passed through separately around an hour earlier.
Camera used - Panasonic HC-V770.
