Arun Duggal Centre of Excellence for Research in Climate Change and Air Pollution (CERCA) on November 16, 2020 launched its maiden initiative on electric mobility with the retrofitting of a Classic Beetle car into an electric vehicle.
Iconic Volkswagen Beetle (1948 model) to become India's first vintage car to go electric. Founder of CERCA, Mr Arun Duggal, said that the Electric Beetle is a “symbolic action” to demonstrate that air pollution in Delhi and NCR can be eliminated by using “technology and innovation”.
