Rock crawler 4x4 off road test. Is the SCX10iii a good crawler for beginners in RC, or those getting back into the hobby? Lets go on a little trail run with a brand new, stock out of the box truck and see how it does. Its a bit cold and we have some snow on the ground so it will be challenging. I have been out of the hobby for a long time and decided to jump back in with a familiar brand and model, my previous truck was a modified SCX10 Deadbolt.
I had sold everything and needed an RTR to get back in running. With this kit, you will need a few batts and a charger. I went with a simple but reliable Tenergy TB-6AB
and a 2 pack of OVONIC Lipo Battery 5200mAh 50C 7.4V 2S
The truck can handle 3s, but I did not want to be breaking stuff right away so went with the 2s.
