All New 2026 Volvo ES90: Improved Performance Compared to Previous Models

With the upcoming 2025 Volvo ES90 electric car joining the effort, Volvo seems to be on schedule to achieve an all-EV lineup by 2030. While the carmaker makes the switch to electric vehicles, the current S90 will continue to be produced alongside the new ES90 EV, a mid-size premium vehicle. It will share its underpinnings with the electric SUV, the EX90. Naturally, it will use the identical 111.0 kWh battery pack as the EX90, but it may differ in its configuration from the former, maybe featuring all-wheel drive in the case of the latter, and it may use a single motor instead. We anticipate that it will meet or surpass the 300-mile range promised by the EX90 SUV, even though this has not been officially confirmed. The ES90 is said to be a little bit taller, wider, and have a little longer wheelbase than the gas-powered sedan, even if it is positioned as a rival to the current S90.
Despite being a brand-new model, the ES90 will likely share many of the same design elements and cues as the rest of Volvo's lineup. The ES90 is expected to make its debut at Volvo showrooms around the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.
Depending on the model level and available features, the expected price range for the 2025 Volvo ES90 is $65,000 to $75,000.
