Just bought this one used today! ...on my birthday, no less.
So far I am very satisfied with the purchase.
I always liked the look of it, and I was also not disappointed by the handling and performance. It's reasonably comfortable, has sufficient power for city driving and doesn't leave you in the dust on the highway either. It'll do 100 km/h in 5th gear at about 2800 revs, and still climb to 110 with relative ease. Enough for MY overtaking needs, anyway.
Since mileage varies between individual cars, depending on many factors, I can't yet claim just how economical this one is. Will provide that info in a future video. However, the 1.4 engine version has a very low annual tax in Latvia - only 38 Euros, so it will save you money at least in that sense.
There are a few things to look out for when buying these used. The rear axle can be in a bad shape on a used one, and restoring it will cost you. It's wise to keep an eye out for ads that mention having just done the axle restoration.
This one is a 2001, 1.4 petrol, 75hp (55kW) version.
